The story takes place at the end of the Iran-Iraq War. Hamed who has missed his parents in an air raid on his city Bostan is taken in by an old man, Shina, who lives alone in a forest, in order to escape the battle. The two, who endure a harsh winter, share the longing for spring (the end of the war).
