A powerful Hollywood studio has purchased a historic 19th century Uruguayan locomotive for its next film. The news is not well received by the veteran members of the Friends of the Rail Association. Determined to boycott the transfer of the locomotive to the United States, three of them and a child, moved by the slogan "Our national heritage is not for sale", hijack the machine and set out to travel the abandoned tracks of the interior of the country, pursued by the authorities.
