Inspired by the director's childhood, the film tells the story of a poor Turkish neighbourhood in the outskirts of a city and the idle boys who live there. We also meet an old woman and her naive son Kocaoğlan. Tuna, the boy's ringleader, is a film fanatic who dreams of a future in the film business, and his best friend Fedai wants to become a famous football player like Pelé. The two boys decide to go to Hollywood to realize their dreams.
